7. Ron Paul “The High Tide”
Ron Paul’s avatar stands underwater and travels through the world and time, lecturing us on America’s proper place in the world. Then he ascends above the water, claiming the throne of the leader of a free America and savior to computer-generated citizens everywhere. ‘Nuff said. About 100,000 views on YouTube.
6. Schoolhouse Rock- How a Bill Becomes a Law
I thought this was cute. Sue me. About 600,000 views on YouTube.
5. FOX Attacks! Obama - Part 2
The liberal Brave New Films spends their days tracking the ways that Fox News produces and spreads the “news.” Here they show the news channel’s gleeful repetition of a number of attacks on Barack Obama. More than 310,000 views on YouTube.
4. Jon Stewart on Obama’s Speech in Philadelphia
Are you as excited as I am that clips from the Daily Show are sticking around on YouTube? Must be that writer’s strike… Jon Stewart picks apart Obama’s speech, making fun of him at will but concluding, “A prominent American politician spoke about race as though we were adults.” Viewed more than 100,000 times on YouTube.
3. Obama’s Bra 54 Double “D”
Thought all of the controversial black preachers out there are supporting Obama? Think again. This guy — we think this is real — calls Obama a “pimp” and a “spineless you-know-what.” Thats before he really gets going. Almost 1,200,000 views on YouTube.
2. Is Obama Wright? - Pastor Jeremiah Wright & Senator Barack
The creator of this video, Lee Habeeb of the conservative Salem Radio Network, says he was “trying to join the YouTube generation and have some fun. We wanted to see if we could get in circulation.” The video touched a nerve, and worked; it’s been viewed more than 160,000 times on YouTube. But Habeeb is playing with fire by invoking figures like Public Enemy, Malcolm X, and the Black Panthers.
1. Obama Speech: ‘A More Perfect Union’
The big speech. It’s been called “courageous,” “historic,” “brilliant,” and “ass-saving.” This version has been viewed about 2,500,000 times on YouTube; combined with other versions out there, it’s been viewed more than that.
